Laura Collins presented at the 2016 APS March Meeting a talk titled “Imaging the Electronic States of a Two-Dimensional Assembled Quasicrystal”. In this work, done in collaboration with Tom, Rochelle and David, Laura created a synthetic quasicrystal based upon the rhombus Penrose tiling and imaged the electronic states.

Laura also successfully passed her candidacy exam and it is an official Ph.D. candidate now. Great job Laura!!!
